Traveling Thoughts

It started as a pain.  A pain at the end of my tail bone.  In fact, last Thursday when it started, I thought it was my tail bone.  But then it got worse, and by Tuesday night, you could feel a very small growth.  It had been growing ever since.  By Thursday night, I was incapacitated.  It hurt to sit, stand, lay, walk.  Friday things worsened, Vicodin only put a small dent in the pain.  The bump was increasingly getting larger.  Friday afternoon, I told my mom I was growing a tail.  But actually, the whole tail business started earlier in the day at work.  I had told my supervisor that I was evolving and growing a tail, she said if I was growing a tail that I was actually devolving.  Another collegue commented that I was like Hellboy, I don’t know much about Hellboy, but she implied that his tail started as a pain as well.
