Freeze the Pain

Filed Under: Adventures | Friday, 28 September 2007

I was incredibly grateful to receive samples of Freeze It Gel in the mail last week. I’m feeling old when it comes to the pains in my appendages lately. I don’t know what it is lately, but the bones in the top of my foot have been killing me. Of course, I won’t take a pain killer until pain is upon me like death. I don’t know what caused this recent pain either. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this kind of pain on the top of my foot before. I don’t think it’s from biking, it maybe could be from hiking around the mountains a few weekends back, but I’m not even sure it’s that because I don’t remember when the pain began. It could maybe possibly be residual from kick boxing, maybe I hit the bag the wrong way with my foot…I’m not sure, I’ve not been to kick boxing since like 2 weeks before my hospital visit, which puts me at 6 weeks since I’ve gone kick boxing.

Needless to say, I’ve got a pain in my foot. And it’s not pleasant because it hurts to walk. So, like I said, I was grateful Freeze It Gel. Dad uses Bengay and keeps trying to get me to use it but I don’t like it, I don’t like the hot feeling of it when it hits the skin. I steer away IcyHot as well because even though it’s got the cold feeling I like, it’s also got the hot feeling I don’t like.

Freeze It, now that’s another story and a good one. It’s only got the cold feeling that I like. So my bone pains in my foot and Freeze It are a perfect match (match.com wasn’t needed to make this match either).

When In Pain, Apply Freeze It

Of course, Freeze It has competition (mainly BioFreeze) but Freeze It was able to beat it out, simply because it has the same active ingredients as BioFreeze but it’s considerably cheaper per tube. Even at the cheapest place I could find BioFreeze, Freeze It was $3 cheaper for the same size tube. With the money it would cost me to get a tube of BioFreeze I can get a tube of Freeze It, a sports drink and an energy bar to make my pain go away and replenish my energy.

Freeze It works for me in about 2 minutes after application (which is about the time I could be enjoying the Snicker’s Marathon Bar that I couldn’t enjoy if I bought BioFreeze) and it lasts for close to 4-5 hours for me. It’s nice, and it’s cold, or should I say ice cold. Ice cold therapy for temporary relief from my pains caused by muscles, tendons, and joints. I’m not sure where my foot fits in there, but it fits, and it feels better with the simple application of Freeze It Gel.

The sample packets didn’t last long so now I’m gonna have to go to Walmart and procure me a tube of it. And even though I hate Walmart, the pain of Walmart is well worth the relief of my pains that I get with Freeze It Gel.
