The Miracle Numetrex Sports Bra (it monitors your heart rate)

Filed Under: Biking | Tuesday, 02 October 2007

Since I started bike riding, it’s been suggested that I start wearing a heart rate monitor just to see how high my heart rate is running. (We also thought it would be cool to wear a heart rate monitor while skydiving, just to see what exactly the thrill of skydiving is doing to me). I’m not exactly the kind of person that will risk loosing the heart rate monitor while I’m falling from the sky (or maybe I am) but I would have no problems wearing a heart rate monitor while biking (or maybe I would).

[aside] I have a general problem with heart rate monitors while I’m working out and that is the fact that they tend to slip and and fall from their original position. That fact right there is the deterrant that keeps me from wearing heart rate monitors while I’m out biking or skydiving or whatever other craziness I get involved in. [/aside]

Wearing a heart rate monitor while biking would help me out in many ways (Four out of the Five Great Reasons to Wear a Heart Rate Monitor to be exact), mainly for me would be to make sure that my heart rate is running at a level where I would be burning stored fat for energy instead of the carbs sitting in my system left over from a meal or a snack that I had eaten before biking. This would induce the weight loss that I’m in slight need of. I mean, if I’m going to bike, I might as well let it work to my advantage. There’s also the whole, improve my health thing and the fact that my time for biking is limited so I need to make the most of it, and lastly is safety, I gotta be doing what I’m doing safely right…I really don’t want to keel over while riding my bike because I’m pushing myself too hard.

So, there’s the great reasons to wear the heart rate monitor, but I still have the issue of wearing one (see [aside]). But lo! There is a great piece of clothing to prevent the slipping and falling of the heart rate monitor strap. It’s actually a great idea combined with the great sports bra (us women’s savior while working out). The Numetrex Sports Bra combines great support with the heart rate monitor to get great heart rate training. There’s no need for the slipping and falling of the traditional heart rate monitor straps. The monitor now buttons into the bra. It’s a match made in heaven. Watch:

(And actually, if the heart rate monitor is going to be buttoned into the sports bra, I’d take it sky diving. Talk about making your clothing work for you.)

[If you’re a guy, you’re probably sitting there reading this entry, rolling your eyes, saying to yourself “typical girl, talk about her bras on her blog” Yes guys, I know some of you out there read all my entries and I know that you had extreme excitement over clothes that monitor your heart rate (even if it was a bra I was talking about), so here, I found you a cardio shirt, and personally, I like it in the blue, blue steel… so get out there and start your heart rate training.]
