I am Courtney L Benefiel, and apparently not the only one
because I’m a bit narcissistic, it’s not unusual for me to google my own name. It used to be that when I googled Courtney Benefiel, I was the only one that came up, which you know, is perfect, because, I thought I was the only one…but lately, another Courtney Benefiel has been popping up, a Courtney L Benefiel at that.
Ok, so maybe I’m a bit self centered for thinking that I was the only Courtney L Benefiel out there. But really, Benefiel isn’t a common name. And even if there was another Courtney Benefiel, what are the chances of it being a Courtney L Benefiel…*sigh* high enough apparently…
She’s messing with my search results.

Ahhh, I did the same thing!! I thought I was the only Suzanne Z… and I think I was, but now I am married, and well, I am NOT the only Suzanne B… I liked being the only one, but I take comfort in the anonymity of being able to hide out if I want, especially since I tend to pour out my soul and reveal my secrets to the online dcommunity. That is pretty funny that I felt the same way, though!!
This other Courtney, as far as I can tell isn’t a blogger, so I don’t quite have the anonymity of the large population of blogging “Courtney Benefiel’s”. But I was enough disturbed by me no longer being the only one that I googled “Courtney Steele” the name I’d have if I took my stepdad’s last name and Super Courtney because I couldn’t think of a cooler super hero name at that moment, and Grover, when he’s super, he’s just Super Grover so it seemed appropriate. Sadly, there were bunches of results for those names too….can you tell I have far too much time one my hands ;)
I do the same thing pretty often. I used to get nice results linking to my craft patterns, and then all of a sudden this other Loretta Oliver was coming up and she was not me, and she had craft patterns and classes too. So not fair :-p
Maybe we can convince our not me people to change their names -lol-
